Marysville Area Community Theater is casting for its spring 2026 production of Flamingo Court, written by Luigi Creatore. Flamingo Court is a comedy featuring three interconnected one-act plays set in a South Florida apartment building inhabited by seniors, focusing on themes of late-life love, memory loss, and greed. The play explores the humorous and poignant lives of retirees who are navigating aging and relationships.

The first act deals with Angelina, who lives in Apartment 104. This is a lighthearted, Neil-Simon-style story where Angelina finds herself falling for her neighbor, Dominic, while her husband is sick in the next room, all aided by a meddling friend.

Act two is about Clara in Apartment 204. This is a more serious piece about an elderly couple, Clara and Arthur, facing the heart-wrenching reality of separation as Clara moves to a nursing home due to memory loss.

Finally, in Act 3, we meet Harry, who lives in Apartment 304. Eighty-nine-year-old Harry tries to celebrate his birthday by hiring an escort (Chi Chi La Boo Boo) while at the same time trying to outsmart his inheritance-hungry daughter and son-in-law. The play examines the humorous, touching, and sometimes desperate realities of aging in America in the twenty-first century.
